Petition for the Government to hold water companies accountable for environmental damage to the River Loddon

The River Loddon runs through Earley and Woodley, and has bacteria levels 23 times the safe amount thanks to Thames Water discharging raw sewage.

Under the former Government, companies like Thames Water have been able to discharge sewage and get away with it.

It doesn’t have to be like this - we are calling for there to be harsh penalties for water companies that pollute our waterways with sewage.

We want to force water companies to clean up their toxic mess and protect people’s health; Labour are demanding they take immediate action with severe and automatic fines if they fail to deliver. We would also block the payment of any bonuses until water bosses clean up their own filth.
